Have you ever had a sauna in a golden Sauna Egg?
Kiruna, famed for its Northern Lights in Northern Sweden, is now home to a fascinating new piece of practical art in the shape of the golden Solar Egg sauna.
This five metre high and four metre wide functional wood fired sauna is completely off grid, with lights powered by solar panels and using sustainable local wood to power its heart shaped sauna stove.
Made from 69 gold-plated stainless-steel panels, the design allows for the structure to be taken down and moved to different locations within and around Kiruna.
This one off project was designed by Bigert & Bergström for the people of and is free to book and use for both residents and visitors to the region.
